The Missing...

Currently in pre-production "The Missing" is an up and coming feature film with a cleverly written script by actor Lee Asquith-Coe. The film takes a "let the right one in" element in it's style yet is set in context with today's social and political problems, making it a believable script and thus a believable horror.

My role currently is cracking onto the make-up tests - but once we start filming I will have my first H.O.D. status. Exciting!

Here's the images from our 1st viral shoot. The 2nd is scheduled to be re-shot in Trafalgar square. With so many vampire films coming out/come out this is a refreshing idea to a genre so exhausted. This is one to wait for with anticipation.

Zombie Hood

So currently in Nottingham, new film production company aPint LTD have been making their second film, the ambitious script from director Steve Best, called Zombie Hood. Having been involved with the project from the pre-production phase, its been a pleasure to watch it unfold. I am involved as an SFX makeup artist. We have raised our own funds through awareness, sponsorship and hosting events in Nottingham. We are currently still filming and are excited to see the final product and the other many projects the company are currently involved in.

My favourite parts of life at Lifecast LTD

SO as part of my degree in Theatre Design at Trent uni, we must take a 6week placement. Having always had a huge interest in the behind the scenes of the films and always made my family watch the extras, i immediately started looking for placements in the film industry. John Schoonraad has been a name that has popped up in the credits of my favourite films for years - being a distinctive name i remembered it - "Googleing" him and finding out he had his own company was the beginning of a whole new career changing path that has launched me into a bizarre world i never thought possible in such a short space of time, and with such talented people so willing to teach me all they know. I went to John knowing absolutely nothing about the process of making SFX props and prosthetic effects and now i have gained a firm grip on the process of mould making, lifecasting, fibreglassing, casting, painting and much more. I cant wait to use my skills learned with John to continue working on such fabulous projects that he has kindly involved me with and explore my own projects for new clients (some projects currently in motion, some in post production) and for my own art work.
Now ive finished uni the fun can begin! Time to launch my career! Daunting yet exciting!
